How to delete your account

You can delete your PROTR account and all associated data directly within the app. This process is immediate and does not require contacting support.

  1. Open the PROTR app on your device
  2. Tap the profile icon or go to the Settings tab
  3. Scroll to the bottom and tap Account
  4. Tap Delete Account
  5. Confirm deletion when prompted - your account will be permanently removed

Request deletion by email

If you are unable to access the app, you can request account deletion by emailing us at [email protected] with the subject line "Account Deletion Request" and the email address associated with your account. We will process your request within 30 days.

What gets deleted

When your account is deleted, the following data is permanently removed within 30 days:

  • Your account profile (name, email address, profile photo, bio)
  • All workout logs and training history
  • All nutrition logs and meal history
  • Health data synced from Apple HealthKit or Google Health Connect
  • Social data (feed posts, follows, kudos, comments)
  • Coach-athlete relationships and associated training data
  • Chat messages
  • Progress photos and body measurements
  • App preferences and settings

What may be retained

Certain data may be retained after account deletion where we are legally required to do so:

  • Transaction records - purchase history and financial records are retained for up to 7 years in accordance with applicable financial and tax regulations. These records are anonymised where possible and are not used for any other purpose.
  • Creator payout records - if you were a Creator, earnings and payout records are retained for up to 7 years for tax and audit purposes.
  • Legal hold - data subject to an active legal dispute, investigation, or regulatory requirement will be retained until the matter is resolved.
  • Aggregated analytics - anonymised, non-identifiable usage statistics that cannot be linked back to you may be retained indefinitely.

Content you have shared publicly (such as marketplace listings or social feed posts) will be removed from public view immediately upon account deletion, and permanently deleted within 30 days.

Marketplace purchases

If you have purchased content from the PROTR marketplace, deleting your account will remove your access to that content. Purchases are non-refundable once content has been accessed, in accordance with our Terms of Service. If you have an unresolved dispute about a purchase, please contact [email protected] before deleting your account.
