Copyright & DMCA Policy

Last updated: 29 March 2026

PROTR respects the intellectual property rights of others and expects all users and creators on our platform to do the same. This policy explains how we handle reports of copyright infringement in accordance with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) and equivalent international copyright legislation.

1. Reporting Copyright Infringement

If you believe that content on the PROTR platform infringes your copyright, you may submit a takedown notice containing the following information:

  • Your full legal name, address, and contact information;
  • A description of the copyrighted work you claim has been infringed;
  • A description of the allegedly infringing content and its location on the Platform (e.g., listing title, creator name, or URL);
  • A statement that you have a good faith belief that the use of the material is not authorised by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law;
  • A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorised to act on behalf of the copyright owner;
  • Your physical or electronic signature.

Submit takedown notices to:

Email: [email protected]

You may also report content directly within the app by tapping the report button on any listing and selecting "Copyright / Stolen Content".

2. How We Respond

Upon receiving a valid takedown notice, PROTR will:

  • Promptly remove or disable access to the allegedly infringing content;
  • Notify the creator who uploaded the content;
  • Record the incident for enforcement purposes.

3. Counter-Notification

If you are a creator and believe your content was removed in error, you may submit a counter-notification containing:

  • Your full legal name, address, and contact information;
  • Identification of the content that was removed;
  • A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good faith belief that the content was removed as a result of mistake or misidentification;
  • A statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the courts in your district and that you will accept service of process from the person who submitted the original takedown notice;
  • Your physical or electronic signature.

Submit counter-notifications to: [email protected]

4. Restoration

Upon receiving a valid counter-notification, PROTR will:

  • Forward the counter-notification to the original complainant;
  • Restore the removed content within 10–14 business days unless the complainant notifies us that they have filed a court action.

5. Repeat Infringers

PROTR maintains a policy of terminating the accounts of users who are repeat infringers. Specifically:

  • First offence: Content removed and formal warning issued;
  • Second offence: Content removed and 30-day account suspension;
  • Third offence: Permanent account termination and forfeiture of any pending revenue.

6. Good Faith

PROTR acts as a neutral platform and does not pre-screen creator content for copyright compliance. We rely on rights holders and our community to identify potentially infringing content. We process all notices in good faith and in accordance with applicable law.
